I can’t wait to finish the full 12 aligner sets to see my fully upgraded smile! Overall, at 8 weeks in, there’s so much that’s improved and/or changed with my bite. I can feel the changes when I floss as well. When I look at my smile, there is a visible change in how far my teeth stick out over my lower lip. I can feel physical changes, especially when I switch to a new aligner. And fortunately, Byte can still be effective with only more time with the aligners. I wish I could have used Hyperbyte to get the full Byte experience, but we all have to do what’s right for us. I tried it for about 30 seconds and the vibrations felt extremely uncomfortable in my head and started to make me a bit dizzy. I also read the info that came with the Hyperbyte and it says to not use it if you’ve had certain various issues, including vertigo, which I’ve had. I was told at my dentist’s office that it is not safe for the nerves of the teeth to move them too quickly. I’m only on my 5th set now, but with the Hyperbyte tool I could be on my 9th. The case is a bit difficult to open, the mirror inside is a nice touch, and the file is very handy for any bothersome edges. I just make sure to carry the case around with me so I can take them out on short notice.
I am a snacker so I have had to adjust my snacking times to make sure I’m wearing my retainers more often throughout the day. So far, it’s been easy to just pop them in and wear them. I really like that the retainer baggies are numbered and as you move along the process you can also double check the retainer you’re on by looking at the printed numbers on the retainers themselves. I was so excited to use them I actually put them in right away during the day only to later realize that they inform you to put them in at night -and it’s better to change to the next retainers at night too. I recommend reading over the provided information at least twice to really understand everything. The entire kit is well organized and the booklet is very helpful. Receiving the Byte retainers was very exciting! I went through all the boxes it came with and read through the booklet.
